We are still in Men's Mental Health Awareness Month, so I used my column to share some strategies that men can use to help themselves cope with mental health struggles.1. Make note of your emotions and coping strategies.2. Learn new ways to manage stress.3. Learn to adjust your thinking.4. Set realistic goals.5. Participate in activities you enjoy.6. Stay on a regular schedule.7. Seek emotional and spiritual support."If you are unwell, you will not be able to effectively fulfil your own objectives and serve others. Even though there's more openness about mental health in society, it can still be tough to figure out how to begin taking care of your own well-being.Recognizing and understanding the impact of mental illness is crucial in order to eliminate the stigma surrounding it. Mental Health Awareness Month provides an opportunity to initiate meaningful conversations about mental health.
